Join inPrint for one or all of our drop-in open studio sessions. This is non-instructional time where you can come into the studio and use the space alongside our community to just get some printing done. Want to expose a bunch of screens to print later? Play around with some cyanotypes indoors? Or use our table-top etching press on an already carved block or etched plate? Maybe you just want to think ideas through alongside other artists. Come on down and make some art!

Folks must provide their own supplies including ink, blocks and paper but can use our equipment including presses, screen tables and squeegees, exposure unit as well as access to emulsion (Speedball) with a limit to 2 screens per person. Folks are welcome to come in any time through-out the day, and note that the rate is a flat fee regardless of how many hours are used.

Cyanotype Weekend 5 SPOTS OPEN
Saturday, February 15 AND Sunday, February 16, 2025
10am to 2pm
with artist Amye St. John
Fee: $175 plus tax
Take the weekend with inPrint to deeply explore the possibilities of cyanotype as an art form. Cyanotype is a photographic printing process, wherein a negative or stencil is used to create a blue print from photosensitive materials and light. During this workshop you will learn how to take photos from your camera, convert to negative, then print beautiful cyanotype prints from your cherished photos. You will also explore exposure set-ups, and further experimental techniques including photograms and toning. All skill levels welcome, we encourage everyone to join us in discovering new modes of artistic expression.

*Please bring 1 or 2 photos of your choice to work with to our workshop in digital format (usb key or you can retrieve through email on our studio laptop). We will share with you how to edit images for use in cyanotype.

All materials are included with class fee.

Relief Printmaking (5 Weeks) 3 SPOTS OPEN
Wednesdays February 19th to March 19th, 2025
6pm to 9pm
With artist Shannon Moynagh
Fee: $350 plus tax

Join us at the inPrint Studio to learn the art of relief printmaking. During this 5 week class you will learn how to carve a linoleum block and print on our studio press. Students will first learn the basics and create a 1-layer print with soft lino, then be challenged to create a 2-layer reduction print with traditional lino on a press. Students will also learn how to effectively print a split fountain (rainbow roll). Class sizes are small for a more relaxed learning experience. All skill levels welcome, from beginners to experienced artists, ages 16 and up. Projects may be adjusted to fit the need of students. Project sizes will remain small to allow for students to grasp the technical skills and to fit the size of our table top press.

All materials provided with class fee.
